Dressing and undressing: we advise you (if you have no help and are alone) to keep the zippers of the clothing closed for 1/4 of the total length. If you are alone (and you are not trained in it) it is impossible to close the garments and you will certainly damage the zippers. The best way to put on is:
keep zippers closed for 1/4 and step into the garment (with skirt, hot pants, or dress)
roll the Neoprene up along your legs into a sausage and grip it well (never use nails)
pull the skirt up until it fits properly. Pull the dress up above your waist, so higher than usual.
then dress with the upper part (so this is very loose then) and close the zipper quietly (which is then not under tension)
make another "sausage" from bottom to top and make sure you have a good grip (hold material firmly in your fists)
Then roll the bottom part down along your body and gently pull it tight. Flatten small folds with the flat of your hand.
It's very simple to take it off: release the zipper brake and you will notice that the elasticity of the rubber material means that the zipper opens without any problems.
If you do have help, one person should "help" the zipper 5 cm above the hands of the other person by folding it closed.
Washing tip: gently move up and down by hand in cold (slightly lukewarm) clear water; best in a bath. Use very little fabric softener (purely for freshness/fragrance), rinse well with cold water (shower head) so that no residue remains. Note: never use a washing machine/centrifuge/dry cleaning; this will irreparably damage the Neoprene.
Drying tip: "pat dry" with a soft dry towel, give the zipper extra dry. Then hang it on a wide hanger (not inside out) and let it dry gently. Lubricating the zipper from time to time with a friendly silicone or candle wax keeps the zipper in top condition. (note: do not touch the neoprene or otherwise clean it directly)
Storage tip: hanging on a wide hanger in an airy dark cupboard between normal textile clothing. Always avoid direct sunlight; this ages the Neoprene. Never hang next to/against other PVC, lacquer, leather look, rubber or other plastic materials. The plasticizers of the materials are eternal "friends" of each other and can "bleed" after a longer period of time. Dark colors transfer to light colors, which can cause irreparable color damage.
Note: Neoprene hates sharpness; so never put your nails in it (and pull it). The neoprene then tears immediately and this damage is also very recognizable. The only way to repair this type of Neoprene is to lightly sand and glue, but you can always see this repair. So a very ugly repair for the beautiful club and party wear. For a diving suit this does not really matter; the fish under water will not be bothered...
Fold lines: if you store Neoprene clubwear folded (dry) (for example under a pile of other clothes) you will cause fold lines in the rubber part. No problem; this looks more serious than it is. The polyamide inner layer (carrier) stretches differently than the Neoprene (top layer), so that you see a "broken" fold line in the rubber. If you then hang the garment on a hanger, this line will slowly disappear again. When you wear the garment, this line disappears automatically after a relatively short time (you fill the line again with your body from the inside and as a result the material simply "springs" back into its original shape).
